Charles du Lac is a sparkling wine brand produced by the Belgian company Sodiko, which our agency is working with for several years now. This brand is aimed at the middle segment of the European wine market, so the packaging design had to feature some of the traits common to this type of drinks. Meanwhile the packaging also had to be distinct so that the product would stand out on the shelf among the competition.
The overall style of the label for Charles du Lac corresponds to the main requirements set by the visual style of this type of product. Simultaneously strict and slightly pomptous, the style of the label goes along the lines common among European sparkling wines, with typical ornamental and heraldic elements. At the same time, the use of high quality artistic paper and custom shape for the label allows to set the product apart from the competition on the shelf.
